ERIC W. NATH eric@ericnath.com Prior to ENA, Mr. Nath directed the valuation team in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group of Bank of Americas Capital Markets Division. Under his direction companies taken to market by the Bank were valued prior to sale. He began his valuation career in 1985 in the trust departments of Bank of America and Wells Fargo where he gained experience valuing and selling partnership and corporate interests. He has also served as a Principal of Willamette Management Associates, a national valuation firm. Mr. Nath was awarded the designation Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) in business valuation by the American Society of Appraisers in 1992. He has exceeded all recertification requirements since then and continues in good standing with the Society. Eric served as President of the San Francisco Chapter from 1996 to 1997, and was elected to ASAs Business Valuation Committee in 1995, serving a three-year term. Currently he is an actively contributing member of ASAs BV Standards Subcommittee, which develops valuation practice standards for all ASA business appraisers. In this capacity, he was the principal author of ASA’s new “Procedural Guideline – 2, Valuing Partial Interests”. He was also the initial developer and instructor of the Center for Advanced Valuation Studies graduate-level course entitled Business Valuation Discounts and Premiums. Mr. Nath has been a member of the Business Valuation Roundtable of San Francisco since 1992. He served on its Board of Directors of from 1995 to 2001 and as its President from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Nath has published several seminal articles and has made numerous presentations on business valuation, control premiums and minority interest valuation issues. Mr. Nath has qualified and testified as an expert witness in the Superior Courts of San Francisco, Contra Costa and Santa Clara counties. After being awarded a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning from the University of Washington, Mr. Nath returned to UW to earn his Masters of Business Administration in Finance and International Business. He recently earned a certificate in Mediation from the University of California at Berkeley. Mr. Nath has served as a jointly appointed Arbitrator for valuation disputes and as a Referee of the San Francisco Superior Court in a partition matter. |
